Power Systems Engineering
In my graduate studies, I have found a troublesome gap that exists between power systems engineering and mathematics. It is imperative to secure our power grids and I find that engineers are stuggling with inefficient tools and rapid policy changes. This motivates me to use my background in mathemathics to alleviate some of the challenges faced by power system engineers by developing more effective models, theoretical understanding, and numerical tools.
