Welcome!

I'm a fifth year Ph.D. student at Cornell where I have the fortune to be working with my advisors Sid Banerjee and Krishnamurthy Iyer.

My research lies in the areas of mechanism design and algorithmic game theory. I am particularly interested in how artificial currencies can be used to improve efficiency when allocating resources without money.

I am also interested in decentralized mechanism design, and more specifically decentralized oracles. Here are my thoughts on the subject, and here is a mechanism proposal I came up with this summer.

Short Bio

I have gotten my Bachelor's and Master's from Moscow State University where I majored in mathematical physics and worked on problems in optimization. After coming to Cornell for my PhD I discovered the disciplines of game theory and mechanism design, and its blend of beautiful mathematics and relevance to human behavior have never stopped fascinating me since.

Outside of academia, I enjoy cinema and pen and ink drawing. I have a blog (in Russian) and I occasionally write for Cornell Sun.
